So just to give you guys a little overview of my hair, well, I have quite curly hair, which is also dry and rough. So there were many hair straighteners that I had tried in the past, but didn’t find it to hold my hair straightened for a long time, nor did it give my hair a smooth look when straightened.

Well, it has been four months now since I have been using the Corioliss C1 Hair Straightener and I have to say that I have finally found “the one”, the perfect hair straightener for my curly hair!

So to get into the details, let me start off with the product design and some of its main features. The product looks very sleek and neat. It comes with 1 inch titanium plates, which are of a very good quality.

Also, the product has an LED light which illuminates while the product is turned on, in addition to an on/off switch and a knob for temperature control ranging from 120-235°C (250-450°F). The temperature control option is very handy to suit all hair types and textures.

Also, there are studies that show that flat irons are common causes of accidental burns in children. (Patel, A U et al. “Beauty is pain: pediatric burns resulting from hair curling and flat irons.” Annals of burns and fire disasters vol. 32,2 (2019): 130-134.). So the temperature setting option can help prevent this.

What I really liked is that this device heats up within just 20 seconds once it has been turned on, so the wait time is very less before you can start the hair straightening process.

Also, for someone who loves to travel, like me, the dual voltage support of 110V – 240V of this device is very convenient for travel purposes. The device comes with a 360° swivel cord which is long enough to use even when the power source is away. It is a lightweight device, so it doesn’t tire out your wrist during a lengthy straightening process.

Coming to how well it worked on my hair, well, it did a great job at straightening my hair. In fact, once my hair was straightened, I noticed that it had a lovely sheen, which was something that made me super impressed with this device.

Also, the product was really easy to use and works efficiently, so even though I would section my hair and go through each section twice, the results were great because my hair would remain straightened for long hours.

In terms of its pricing, well, it is definitely on the more expensive side, but as for me it was worth it because I got the results I desired.

One aspect which I’d like to make a mention of is that this device can also be used as a hair curler, so it can serve two purposes (even though I didn’t use it as a curler, personally).

Overall, I’d recommend this product to anyone because of its good features and efficacy of use.

How to use the Corioliss C1 Hair Straightener?

Here are four simple steps on how to use this straightener:

Step 1: Make your hair tangle free

Whenever you are using a heat styling tool on your hair, you should always make sure that your hair is tangle free before you begin with the process, so that no snagging or hair damage takes place.

Step 2: Spray on some heat protectant

Using a heat protectant spray on the hair is of utmost importance because any direct use of heat from the device can cause the hair to get damaged.

So even though this step is optional, I do recommend you follow it nevertheless.

Step 3: Ensure hair sectioning

So any time you straighten your hair, make sure you’ve sectioned out and clipped up your hair before you start. Straightening your hair in parts can make it easier for the hair to get straightened evenly and faster of course.

Tip: Once you’ve completed the sectioning process, then you can turn on your straighter because this device just takes 20 seconds to heat up.

Step 4: Straighten your hair in sections

Lastly, begin the straightening process by unclipping your hair section by section. Always make sure to start off at the roots of the hair and gently glide the straightener downwards, slowly, but steadily without applying too much heat on a single area for a long time (so as to avoid heat damage to the hair).

You can go over the same section twice, to ensure it is straightened out properly.

In the end, finish up with using a hair setting spray if you wish to hold the straightened hair in place for a longer time.

So guys, if you’re planning to get yourself a straightener cum curler device, this one’s perfect for you! It has good features like temperature control, dual voltage etc., and is flexible in terms of use.

Overall, it is a good product even though it is on the more expensive side, it can save you the extra cost you’d have to pay if you would want to buy a hair curler, as this device can do both, straighten and curl hair.
