Purezero Biotin Shampoo and Conditioner Review

So finally, here’s my review – I am super impressed! Yes, you read that right. I really liked this shampoo and it worked well on my hair perfectly along with its conditioner.

It has been around a month now since I started using this product. Well, previously, my curly hair was damaged, dry and brittle and was also coloured.

What I liked about this product is that it did not fade my coloured hair at all. Two weeks into using this shampoo, along with its conditioner, my hair began to feel softer and way smoother than it was before.

It began to feel very fresh and looked rejuvenated, as compared to its previously lifeless look.

Since my hair is curly, it used to be super hard for me to manage at times (especially after it was washed) and get rid of the tangles. Well, after using this shampoo and conditioner, that process was a smooth sailing one for me.

I noticed that my hair strength had increased considerably because I observed that my hair fall had also reduced, while the breakage too had reduced as well. My hair became less frizzy and felt more nourished.

The shampoo felt super gentle on my sensitive scalp and I loved that it contained absolutely no sulfates or parabens.

A couple of things I didn’t like about the product is that the shampoo didn’t lather very well, while the fragrance was rather strong, even though it didn’t smell like anything specific.

Talking about the pricing, well, it is definitely affordable, because it comes in a set with both the shampoo and conditioner. So I felt that it was worth it in my opinion.

I bought the product off of Amazon and there’s where I read in the product description that it also contained the ingredient vitamin E oil, but this ingredient wasn’t mentioned in the  ingredient list on the bottle.

Here are the top 3 ingredients of this product:

Biotin

Biotin is now a commonly used ingredient in a lot of hair products because of its powerful effects to the hair. Biotin is also known as vitamin B7 and sometimes the body is deficient in this vitamin, which thereby leads to hair thinning. (National Center for Biotechnology Information. “PubChem Compound Summary for CID 171548, Biotin” )

Thus, nourishing your hair with an external source of biotin can do your hair good.

Using biotin for the hair has multiple uses like increasing the strength of the hair and improving hair shine. It helps keep the hair nourished from within, this helps reduce hair loss caused by breakage.

Biotin helps reduce hair damage like split ends and this can promote healthier and longer hair growth, reducing the need for regular hair trims.

Biotin can also help increase and promote better hair thickness and increase hair volume. It also helps improve the functions of keratin, the main protein that makes up the hair, thus improving overall hair health.

Hydrolyzed Rice Protein

Hydrolyzed rice protein is rich in amino acids and can help improve hair lustre and shine. It is very effective for those who have sensitive scalp skin, as it can help prevent allergies.

It adds moisture to the hair and increases the hair’s elasticity and tensile strength. This means that the hair strands are more flexible. Thus, it reduces hair damage and breakage to a large extent. The stronger the hair, the lesser prone it is to breakage. This means the hair loss due to breakage too will also reduce.

It helps keep the hair hydrated and keeps the hair away from becoming dry and succumbing to frizziness. This makes the hair way more manageable.

Vitamin E Oil

Vitamin E oil is a superb ingredient when it comes to hair care and hair health. In fact, people add the liquid from vitamin E capsules into products that do not contain this ingredient, just to reap its ingredients.

It can help nourish the hair strands right from the follicle and improve the supply of blood flow to the hair follicles thus promoting better hair growth and hair strength.

I love that it acts like a protective layer for each hair strand by coating the hair strands. Vitamin E can also protect the hair from damage as it is rich in its antioxidant value.

It can help prevent the loss of hair, as it has the power of assisting hair growth, can improve overall hair health and improve the lustre and shine of the hair.

Here’s how I tested this Shampoo and Conditioner:

Hair cleansing power:

While some shampoos have great cleansing abilities, they sometimes leave a residue behind. This is something I totally detest, because shampoos are supposed to cleanse the hair and not leave behind a residue.

Gentleness on the hair:

Some shampoos cleanse the hair well, but feel harsh on the scalp and hair. Well, my scalp is relatively sensitive and therefore, I look out for products free from sulfates and parabens, so that it will feel gentle on my scalp and hair.

Safety of use on colour-treated hair:

Like I have mentioned earlier, my hair has been through a lot of dyeing and finding a shampoo to specifically suit colour-treated hair without fading the colour is rare. So this is an aspect I always consider.

Fragrance:

I am someone who totally dislikes harsh scents; they literally give me a free headache! So yes, a mild fragrance is something I look for in a shampoo and conditioner.

Pricing:

My ideal price range would be $10 to $15 for a shampoo. This is relatively fair, in my opinion. Sometimes if the shampoo is coupled with its conditioner or is one that is highly rated in terms of its benefits, I do not mind paying a little extra for the product.

How do you use the Purezero Biotin Shampoo and Conditioner?

The product has directions for use. It is simple and similar to how you’d use any other shampoo and conditioner for the hair.

But since this shampoo is creamy in consistency, I would suggest that you dilute it with a little water before using it on your hair as you will get a better lathering effect.

Once you have shampooed your hair, make sure to rinse off the shampoo well before conditioning your hair.
