Hairlust Thermal Shield Heat Protectant Review 2024 | Will It Protect Your Hair?

In this detailed review, I will give my thoughts on the Thermal Shield Heat Protectant and how it protects your hair while straightening, curling, and blow drying!

Have you ever considered using a heat protectant spray for your hair? Introducing the Thermal Shield Heat Protectant Review!

This silicone-free heat protectant spray is guaranteed to leave your hair with a glossy and natural texture and will also block your hair from heat damage.

For starters, if you are someone who is a little reluctant to use a heat protectant spray then think about it in this way.

Think of a heat protectant spray like SPF for your hair, yes you heard me right!

The same way you use sunscreen to protect your skin from severe heat damage, this heat protectant spray will shield your hair from damage when exposed to excess heat.

Why use a heat protectant spray?

Excessive heat can damage your hair cuticle layer and result in damaged hair so using a Heat protectant spray will also add a protective layer to your hair when you use styling tools by sealing in moisture in your hair and smoothening  the hair cuticles.

It will also leave your hair feeling glossy,  soft, and frizz-free after heat styling.

DayMoist CLR™ : The star ingredient and  is a natural, plant derived ingredient which will act as a protection barrier against direct heat when applied during straightening, blow drying and heat styling.  It also helps the hydration flow in the outer layers of the hair and skin.

Organic Aloe Vera: Loaded with antioxidants, minerals, nutrients, vitamins, enzymes, amino acids, that allow nourishment and moisture  to penetrate deeply into the hair shaft.

Organic Oat Kernel Extract: This is a powerful active ingredient extracted from organic oats, but loaded with omega-3, 6, fatty acids, and beta glucan that helps protect and repair hair and skin’s lipid barrier and prevents early signs of aging.

Organic Coconut Water: My personal favorite is the organic coconut water to protect hair and give it a long-lasting shine. The liquid inside the coconut contains moisturizing sugars, vitamins, minerals and skin nourishing amino acids.

Aquaxyl™ : Another ultra-moisturizing ingredient is the  Aquaxyl™ which gives maximum hydration to the hair and helps to combat frizz. This sugar-derived compound provides deep moisture for the hair and scalp.

Beet Root Extract: Made from the Beta Vulgaris plant and very rich in vitamins and antioxidants and functions as a protecting and moisturizing ingredient in hair care products.

Organic Bilberry Fruit Extract: Or the wild Nordic blueberry extract contains Vitamin C and E increases blood circulation while soothing an irritated scalp.

Feel on hair: The texture feels just like water, even a few sprays are good enough for my thin hair. I always make it a point to spray little by little, and only use it on my damp hair after letting my hair dry from a shower  for a good fifteen minutes. I feel it is a bit sticky on dry hair.

My Review Of The Thermal Shield

I always had this terrible  habit of damaging my hair using hot hair styling tools ever since I was fifteen years old.

Even though I have tried to avoid it, I love wearing my hair sleek, and using a

Heat protectant spray has always protected my hair from getting damaged.

So, did the Thermal Shield™ Heat Protectant Spray  work for me or not? I personally loved the fruity scent that lingered around nicely in my hair for a long time, but if you are not a big fan of fruity scent then you may not like the scent for sure.

I felt the product adds a lot of silkiness and shine when I apply it on my damp hair but on my dry hair, I honestly feel it does not make any difference.

It does provide thermal protection but only up to a certain extent. Keep in mind that if you expect this heat protectant spray to act as some shield barrier all the time no matter how much you straighten it or blow-dry your hair, then it will not work that way.

But yes, it keeps my hair straight for a longer time as compared to before and gives my hair that volume and sleekness too.

It also keeps my hair from frizzing when it gets humid and I spray each section of my hair with a good amount before drying.

Overall, a great product and would recommend it as an effective heat protectant spray.

How Do You Find The Best Heat Protectant Spray For Your Hair?

Based on Hair Type:

Knowing your hair type is important because it can guide you to choose the best product for your hair and will not let it suffer from any irreparable damage.

Based on the Ingredients:

Knowing the ingredients of a product is also very  important so keep in mind that ingredients that make hair even more prone to damage include sulfates, silicones, fragrances, alcohols, dyes and glycols.

Based on texture:

You may want to invest in a  non-greasy and lightweight formula that does not leave a residue on your strands and a heat protectant spray that is safe for colored hair.

Summary

To conclude, as a general rule of thumb, you should use a heat protectant spray only when you style your hair with hot tools.

My advice would be to minimize the amount of times you style your hair to reduce any potential  damage.

Just spray a little  onto either dry or damp hair and make sure you read the  label and instructions before you buy one.

Also, include regular deep conditioning hair treatments into your hair care regimen to help revive your hair from any heat damage.

I had a pleasant experience using the thermal Shield Heat Protectant spray and will use it again for sure.

Make sure you also find the best one that works for you and if you would like to give this a try, please do, you will not regret it!
