Viori Citrus Yao Shampoo Bar Review 2024 | Unbiased Review Of Formula, Ingredients And More!

Are you looking for a review of Viori Citrus Yao Shampoo Bar? Check out my review about this product that offers many benefits, including hydrating and conditioning properties!

I’ve been someone who has always used liquid shampoos and this is why I was super excited to try out this product out because it would be my first time using a shampoo bar.

The reason I chose the brand Viori, in particular, is because I liked how the brand has partnered with the Red Yao community to help and support them towards accomplishing their goals with the profit made from their sales.

So I got down to buying it and I am currently in my second bar of this shampoo and I cannot wait to give you guys my review!

So here it goes.

Viori Citrus Yao Shampoo Bar Review

I have hair that gets greasy within a day or two after it has been washed and therefore, I needed to wash my hair more often in the past.

Once I started using the Viori shampoo bar, the number of hair washes I needed to have per week reduced!

This shampoo bar cleansed my hair very well and made my hair feel fresh. Also, its mild citrus fragrance is what I really liked because my hair smelled lovely once it dried up.

After using this shampoo bar, my hair started to feel well-moisturized and became smoother and softer over the days.

What I also noticed is that it gave my hair a lovely sheen, which was something that my hair lacked earlier.

It felt gentle on my hair as it contained just natural ingredients, with no sulfates, parabens or any other harsh chemicals.

So it suited my sensitive scalp perfectly. Also, it worked well on my colour-treated hair and it didn’t fade my hair colour at all.

What I didn’t know when buying this shampoo bar is that there are conditioner bars too available that go along with these shampoo bars. But I just bought only the shampoo bar, so I used it along with my previous conditioner.

One thing I’d like to make mention about is the storage of this shampoo bar. If the shampoo bar is not stored in a cool and dry place, it tends to become soft and soggy. So proper storage is very essential.

Well, talking about how well this product “lathered”, I wouldn’t say it raked up as much as a lather when compared to a liquid shampoo (but that is something I expected), but it did lather like a soap would.

Coming to the pricing of this product, I really had not much of an idea about shampoo bar prices. So once I compared the prices of this shampoo bar to some other brands, I found this slightly more expensive comparatively.

I know a lot of people feel that way about the exclusiveness of the brand. Here are some reviews from popular users:

"It's best for dry scalps, so if you have oily scalp or if your hair gets oily quickly, you might not want to opt for these shampoos and conditioner bars."

- Britt Witkin, Youtuber

"I wash my hair every other day, but with this bar I feel like it extends the time between washes."

How I Tested The Viori Shampoo Bar - Parameters Used

Here are the parameters I chose to test this product:

Ability to cleanse the hair:

My hair gets greasy quite easily; this aspect is something I always consider when buying a liquid shampoo.

So I kept this aspect in mind when choosing this shampoo bar as well, because I wanted to test how well it got rid of the grease from my hair and scalp.

Scalp and hair gentleness:

My scalp is very sensitive and finding a mild shampoo is always a hassle. So this is a parameter I always consider while reviewing a product. I always make sure to look for products that do not have sulfates and parabens.

Product effectiveness:

Here I consider how well the shampoo bar worked on my hair, whether it lathered well and got rid of the grease, moisturized my hair, and made my hair feel soft and smooth.

Fragrance:

I am a lover of mild scents but totally detest harsh ones. I love the smell of citrus and was hoping my hair would smell like citrus extract once it dried, as this shampoo bar was made of this fragrance.

Safety of use on coloured hair:

My hair has been colour-treated for two years now and some of the shampoos I’d used in the past caused my hair colour to fade. So this is an aspect I always consider while reviewing products.

Cost:

I really didn’t have an idea of how much exactly shampoo bars cost because it was my first purchase of a shampoo bar. So I just compared the price with the prices of competitor brands for an idea.

How To Use The Viori Citrus Yao Shampoo Bar?

Using a shampoo bar is a little different from using a regular liquid shampoo. All you need to do is wet your hair well.

Then, wet the shampoo bar and rub it well between your palms until it rakes up a lather. Once it has lathered, set the bar aside and massage it into your hair.

You will have to repeat this process a few times until all your hair is well-shampooed. Leave it in for a few minutes before rinsing off.

Lastly, you can condition your hair using a conditioner bar (following the same procedure) or using a regular bottled conditioner.
