PYT Flat Iron Review
So it has been a little over three months since I have been using the PYT flat iron and it is still going strong and doing a great job. Like I said before, I am someone who has a lot of bad days and uses this flat iron quite often, in fact at least twice or thrice every week.
The hard case box that this device comes in is neat and keeps the device safe from external damage. Also, I like the sleek appearance of this product as well.
I really like that this product comes with a variable temperature range of 140 - 450°F, wherein you can adjust the temperature as per your hair type. So, since my hair is of medium thickness, but relatively frizzy, I make sure to use this device on medium heat.
The 1.25 inch ceramic plates are amazing because they glide through my hair perfectly and do not cause any snagging during the hair styling process and make my hair look smooth and silky after the hair styling process has been completed. It really gives the hair a “professional” look.
The size is great for both medium to short hair.
The fact that this device supports dual voltages is one of the best features for me personally because as a frequent traveler, I do not need to carry a converter, but can still use this device on all my travels hassle-free.
Next, I really liked that the length of this cord is 8 feet which makes it super convenient for using this device even when there is no electrical socket nearby!

How to use the PYT Flat Iron
Using the PYT flat iron is simple and is no different than using any other hair straightening device. It is super convenient to use even for first time users.
Here are a few tips that I will share with you after I’ve used it over the past three months.
For straightening the hair:
To straighten the hair, you can start off with sectioning your hair into 6 to 8 sections to make it easier to work with and get your hair straightened out evenly.
So after clipping up each section, then starting off at the roots, clamp down the straightener for a few seconds and then gently exerting sufficient pressure, you can glide the straightener down the length of your hair until you reach the tips.
You can unclip and work on one section at a time. You may also need to go over the same section a second time for the hair to get straightened perfectly.
For curling the hair/creating waves:
To use this device to curl your hair or get waves, again section out your hair and working with each section, you will have to clamp down the device at the section of your hair where you want the curl/wave to start.
And then gently wrap the hair around the device and hold it in that position for a few sections, before gently gliding it downwards along the length of your hair in order to form the curl/wave.
Once you’ve released the flat iron from the hair, you can simply wrap the hair around your finger and gently pull your finger away from your hair to let the curl form perfectly.
Here’s a general tip: Whenever you are using a heat styling tool on your hair, make sure to use a good quality heat protectant spray on your hair before starting off with the styling process to avoid any major damage to the hair because of the heat.
