My Review of the Herstyler Super Styler Flat Iron
I have been using this product for two months now, at least twice every week for sure and I have to say I’m really getting my money’s worth! I have used this product to straighten my hair as well as curl it and I was super impressed with the results!
So I have dry hair that is very fine and not voluminous and the fact that this device has a temperature control setting is a great advantage for people like me because I can straighten or curl my hair on a lower temperature without causing it too much damage.
In addition to this, the device has 1.25 inch floating ceramic plates which are very flexible in their movements and evenly distribute the heat throughout the plates.
This straightening iron has a few extra mention-worthy aspects like it coming with a hook to be able to hang it while not in use, while it also comes with a glove to wear while the device is heated to promote utmost safety of the user.
Also, it has the dual voltage feature which is very convenient for me because I am someone who travels very often and I can use this product wherever I go.
The cord is of a good length and this is something which comes in very handy for me because I can use it even when the power source is far away without needing a connecting adapter.
It is really easy to use for both straightening and curling and it hardly takes much time to get the hang of using it. It doesn’t weigh too much and provides ease of use even for long hours.
Overall, I would definitely say that this product was a good buy and for the price, it was reasonable enough considering all the features and specifications it has. It also has a period of warranty of a year’s time.
The only apparent disadvantage I noticed and faced while using this device is that it sometimes makes the hair get caught up in between the plates and can cause snagging of a couple of the hair strands, which can lead to the hair strands breaking.
While this doesn’t happen every time, it has happened to me multiple times on some occasions, during usage.

- Sometimes the hair gets caught up in between the plates and can cause snagging to a couple of the hair strands, which may cause hair breakage.
How to use the Herstyler Super Styler Flat Iron?
The Herstyler Super Styler Flat Iron is simple to use and is an electrical device, so all you need to do is plug it into your power source and turn on the “On” switch for the device to heat up.
It should take you just around 30 seconds before it heats up to its maximum temperature (so what I’d suggest is that you prepare your hair before you turn on the device). After it’s well heated, the device is ready to use.
To prepare your hair, you will need to comb your hair properly and make sure there are no traces of tangles to ensure a smooth straightening or hair curling process.
Next, you will have to spray some heat protectant spray randomly all over your hair to protect your hair from damage due to the heat. While this step is optional, I would not recommend skipping it to keep your hair away from damage (no matter how healthy it may be).
Thereafter, section out your hair into sections of around 1.5 inches each, clipping up each section in order to be able to work on one section at a time.
After this you can simply let down one section at a time and use the device to either straighten or curl your hair.
To straighten, you will have to clamp down the device near your hair roots and glide it gently downwards throughout the length of your hair till the ends, until the section is well straightened. You may have to go over the same section another time to ensure it’s well straightened.
To curl your hair, again work section by section, while you will require to clamp down the device on one part of your hair and then gently wrap the rest of the hair in that section around the flat iron.
Then, hold that position for a few seconds (but not too long) and gently release while gliding it downwards to form the wave/curl.
Lastly, you can spray some setting spray once you have straightened or curled your hair to set the hairstyle in place.
