I tried both the products and was super impressed since I heard so much hype about it from my friends, so I was compelled to buy the shampoos, here is my honest review-
While the OGX Shampoo claims to help strengthen and restore your hair locks and give it a silky effect, the Aveeno shampoo is infused with active naturals formula and seaweed extract to give your hair extra softness, shine, and healthy manageability.
The OGX shampoo bottle comes in a pretty bright aqua color bottle with a bright golden flip-open cap. The label clearly mentions the name and all claims in a cool font.
The cap opens and closes easily so do not worry about unnecessary spills and leakage. The Aveeno shampoo comes in a very simple yet elegant white tube bottle that is opaque making it very difficult to see how much product is left.
The cap needs to be pushed down which opens up and you can use the product.
The consistency of OGX shampoo is thin and runny just like any other shampoo and comes in an off-white color with a pearly finish which I feel makes it look very classy.
For my hair, just a coin-sized amount would do since my length is very short and I found that the shampoo lathers absolutely well, and makes my scalp squeaky clean.
The Aveeno shampoo has a slightly silvery color with a runny texture. Even though there is no sulfate, I was impressed with how it lathers pretty well especially on my non-oily hair as compared to my hair when it is oiled.
The OGX shampoo has a nice sweet smelling fragrance with a refreshing aqua touch that does not linger on for a long time. If you would like to try this product, you can purchase a bottle from Amazon for 8 dollars.
The Aveeno shampoo has a very subtle, yet clean scent which does not last very long but is quite pleasant and not too in-your-face. If you would like to try this product, you can purchase a bottle from Walmart for 8 dollars.
Overall, the OGX shampoo leaves my hair clean and hydrates my hair shaft very well. It managed to give it that natural bounce and I have noticed slight differences after using this product.
Technically the product does not repair my hair one hundred percent but it definitely helps revive my hair from any damage caused due to other chemical treatments.
On the other hand, the Aveeno shampoo did not create any noteworthy results on my hair but also did not cause any major effects on it either.
I feel like it did not give me an additional boost of moisture so I needed to use a deeply hydrating conditioner while using this shampoo.
I love how this shampoo is safe for color-treated hair, and it is sulfate free. It has a great cleansing ability and is overall a mild, great everyday shampoo.
